AFFM Cooperates with ISIPCA: Successfully Organizes a Diverse Group from Mainland China, Taiwan /Hong Kong/ Macau and Canada

From September 11 to 13, 2024, the AFFM (Association Française des Fragrances du Monde) successfully collaborated with ISIPCA to organize a specialized training program, bringing together participants from China, Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, and Canada. This unique opportunity allowed participants to dive deep into the world of perfumery at one of the most prestigious institutions in the industry.

An Enriching ExperienceOver the course of three days, the group was guided through an intensive curriculum covering a wide range of topics, from the history of perfumery to the latest techniques in fragrance formulation. Our instructor, Romain, was not only highly knowledgeable but also approachable and attentive to all our questions and needs. His expertise and guidance were invaluable in making the experience both educational and enjoyable.

Key Learning HighlightsDuring the training, the group explored key aspects of fragrance creation, including:

  • Raw Materials: Learning about the origins and characteristics of the raw materials that form the basis of perfume compositions.

  • Formulation Techniques: Hands-on sessions that allowed us to experiment with blending and formulating our own fragrance accords.

  • Classic Perfumes: Following Romain’s techniques, we successfully formulated several classic perfumes, such as Angel, CK One, and Habit Rouge. This practical experience deepened our understanding of iconic fragrances.

  • Market Trends: Insights into the global fragrance market and the latest trends shaping the industry.

At the end of the training, the participants were proud to receive the official ISIPCA certificate, marking the completion of this enriching experience.

Looking ForwardThis training at ISIPCA has not only enhanced the technical knowledge of our international participants but also strengthened the connection between the French and global perfume industries. We are excited to apply what we have learned and continue our exploration of perfumery.

We are also planning to return to ISIPCA for further training in May 2025, and we look forward to continuing this fruitful collaboration.
